These Terms apply to Nihongo Amigo: Learn Japanese by TinyAmigo (the "App") on iPhone, iPad and Android. The App is made by TinyAmigo, the studio name of Neeraj Solanki ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms.
If you got the App from Apple's App Store, your use is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). If you got it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Where these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA applies to App Store users.
The App is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial study. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the App or its content except as allowed by the licences listed below, or try to reverse engineer, disrupt or misuse the App or its services.
You can use the App without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google to back up and sync your progress, you are responsible for your Apple or Google account. You can sign out at any time and delete your account in the App under Profile › Account & sync › Delete account, or as described on our account deletion page. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Some content is free (including all of N5). Nihongo Amigo Pro unlocks the rest and is offered as:
Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country. Where a free trial or introductory offer is shown, it converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends; any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase. Monthly and Yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length, and your account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Deleting the App or your Nihongo Amigo account does not cancel a subscription. To cancel or manage it:
After cancelling, Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. You can restore purchases on a new device with with "Restore purchases" in the Appquot;Restorewith "Restore purchases" in the Appquot; on the Pro screen in the App, using the same Apple ID or Google account.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by them under their policies: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com for App Store purchases, or through Google Play's refund process for Google Play purchases. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. On the App Store, where Family Sharing is turned on for a purchase, members of your family group can use it too.
Practice tests, explanations, stories and conversations are written for study and are not official JLPT materials. JLPT is a trademark of the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, who do not endorse this App. Scores and level suggestions are estimates and passing the real test is not guaranteed.
Cards you create in My cards are yours and stay on your device. Translations offered while you make them come from on-device translation and may not be perfect; we do not check them.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, TinyAmigo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
We may update these Terms. The current version is always at tinyamigo.com/japanese-jlpt/terms with its effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.
