Privacy Policy

TinyWords is a word puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and Android. It does not require an account or registration and never asks for your real name, email address, or physical location. Your progress, best scores, settings and language choice are stored locally on your device. Word definitions are bundled with the app and are looked up entirely offline. The one thing that leaves your device is the optional leaderboard, described next.

Leaderboard and Nicknames

The leaderboard is optional and off until you opt in. Nothing is sent from your device until you choose a nickname on the Leaderboard screen; until then your scores stay on your phone.

Once you set a nickname, we send the following to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so your score can be ranked against other players:

• the nickname you typed — please do not use your real name;
• your score for that board, and for the weekly board your per-day scores for the current week;
• an anonymous player ID created by Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This is a random identifier tied to your installation of the app. It is not linked to your Apple Account, your Google Account, your email address, or any other app, and it does not let us identify you personally.

Nicknames are checked automatically against a blocked-word list before they are accepted. Weekly boards are stored per week; all-time Sprint boards are kept indefinitely. If you want your leaderboard entry removed, email support@tinyamigo.com with your nickname and we will delete it. Note that deleting and reinstalling the app creates a new anonymous player ID and does not remove an existing entry.

Third-Party Services and Advertising

This app uses third-party services that may collect device identifiers and usage metrics to serve advertisements and measure app performance:

• Google AdMob: Serves in-app advertisements, including optional rewarded ads you choose to watch. AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process device identifiers (the Advertising Identifier / IDFA on iOS, the Android Advertising ID on Android) and interaction data to serve, optimize, and measure ads. Where required by law, you will be prompted for tracking consent (on iOS via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework) and, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, for advertising consent through Google's consent form before any ad is requested. • Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous product-interaction events (such as starting or finishing a level) and diagnostics to maintain app stability and improve the game. No personally identifiable information is sent.

Your Choices

You can decline tracking when the prompt appears and continue to play the whole game. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you can change your advertising consent at any time from the in-game Settings screen. You can also reset or disable the Advertising Identifier for all apps in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, or on Android in Settings › Privacy › Ads (Settings › Google › Ads on some devices).

On Android the optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device; nothing is sent to us. You can turn it off in the in-game Settings or in Android's notification settings.

Purchases

On iOS, the optional one-time purchase (com.tinyamigo.tinywords.removeads) removes advertisements. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see or store your payment details. Restoring a purchase uses your Apple Account and does not share any personal data with us.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
